The
price of your accommodation does not include travel insurance.
We recommend that you have sufficient insurance to cover
you for the entire duration of your holiday and the sports
and activities in which you are going to take part. Many
sports are classed as hazardous activities and require an
extra premium to be paid.
Your
insurance cover should start on the day you book your holiday
and continue to the day you arrive home.

European
Health Insurance Card
A
European Health Insurance Card is usually valid in the European
Economic Area (EEA) which now includes Switzerland. However
it only covers medical treatment whilst you are away from
home. It will not cover emergency evacuation from the place
of injuries or emergency travel to a hospital, repatriation
or any additional expenses incurred whilst on holiday. In
Switzerland ambulances (including air ambulances) are privately
operated and are very expensive. A typical trip from Morgins
to Monthey hospital costs upwards of Sfr900 for an ambulance
and several thousand Swiss francs for a helicopter rescue.

We
strongly recommend that you don't rely on the European Health
Insurance Card to pay for your medical treatment and that
you take adequate travel insurance to cover you against
not only medical costs but cancellation, loss of property
and public liability.
