Tennis,
swimming and the Par Cours Vita
The sports centre in Morgins offers two indoor tennis courts; three
clay courts and two all weather courts. The centre also has a resident
tennis professional and you can hire rackets and balls. Tournaments are
organised regularly throughout the summer and these are open to everyone.
The swimming pool is situated at the edge of the forest in idyllic surroundings
and the pool is supervised at all times. Water polo and table tennis competitions
are organised during the summer holidays and there is a very popular outside
grill run by the small café/bar.
Laid out through the forest, the exercise trail offers guidance on how
to keep fit in beautiful surroundings. There is also a nature trail and
the Planet Walk (a scale size model of our solar system) in the stunning
Vallon de They.

Devalkarts
& the Fantasticable
If you haven’t already achieved an adrenalin rush,
try the devalkarts in Morgins and the Fantasticable in France. The piste
de Geant is open during the day and you can launch yourself from the top
of the piste in a wide wheeled kart and hope you’ve discovered the
braking system by the time you get to the bottom! The Fantasticable needs
to be seen to be believed; head to Plaine Dranse via the Linga valley
and look up!!

Horse
riding
This is available throughout the year but in the summer months
you can book day and overnight treks in addition to lunge lessons and
hourly rides. This is a wonderful way to explore the Portes du Soleil
and several of the alpine refuges have stabling for horses. You will need
to book in advance for day and overnight treks.

Ferrata and Climbing
in Barme
Adventure for all the family in Champoussin. A series of rope
swings, ladders and bridges set about 10 metres up in the trees (a mini
course is available for children) provide excitement for young and old
alike. There is a Via Ferrata above Champery (equipment can be hired at
the Tourist Office) and a superb rock face for climbing in Barme.

Archery
Set up in the forest by the tennis courts,
the trail takes you past life-sized targets to test your archery skills.
You need to be older than 8 yrs to take part. Also available in winter
when snowshoes are needed.

Parapente
Jean Philippe, based in Champoussin, runs the parapente school
and he offers tandem flights as well as instruction for solo flights.
The thermals above the Val d’Illiez valley are excellent for flying
and if you’ve never experienced the thrill and sense of freedom don’t
miss out this summer!

7 Aventure has an excellent base on the river Dranse in the
Abondance valley, France.

Aventure
Great adventure park especially popular with 6 – 13 yr
olds. The maze is a challenge in itself; there are also treasure chests
to be unlocked; information to be collected and obstacles to be overcome.
The kids, especially, enjoy the slides, water park and, of course, the
bungie rocket!
