at Val d’Illiez approx. 15 minutes from Morgins. A perfect way to
relax and wash away those aches and pains after a hard day’s walking.
Tennis, Swimming & Exercise Trail
There are two indoor courts, three clay courts and two
all-weather courts. The spots centre has a resident tennis professional
and you can also hire rackets and balls. Tennis tournaments are organised
regularly and are open to everyone.The swimming pool is situated at the
edge of the forest in idyllic surroundings but can be very cold early
in the season!
Devalkart
A new sport in Morgins, devalkarting is for the slightly insane.
Horse Riding
The riding stables are situated next to the tennis courts
and offer trekking & lessons.
Bars, Restaurants & Disco
There is a wide selection of bars and restaurants in Morgins
offering friendly service and traditional fare. For "late-nighters"
the Yucatan and Saf night club are open until the early hours.
Marché Folklorique
A traditional market every Saturday from mid July to the
end of August in the village square.
Swiss National Day
Celebrations for the 1st August start on the 31st July
with fireworks, singing and a traditional ball.
Montreux
Jazz Festival
This famous festival takes place at the beginnimg of July and is well
worth a visit. If you cannot get tickets for the main events, the ever
growing Fringe Festival is gaining in popularity and is completely free
of charge.
Geneva Carnival
The Geneva Carnival has grown in popularity so much that
the event now occupies a whole week. Fun-fares and food stalls line the
streets bordering Lake Geneva and provide wonderful family entertainment.
The carnival reaches a climax on the Saturday evening culminating
in one of the greatest firework displays of the year anywhere in the world;
it’s all for free too!
